Landing on Mars In this work, I bring to the forefront the human ambition to explore new worlds, to leave our small planet Earth and expand the horizon of our civilization, a fixation of Elon Musk akin to that of Christopher Columbus in the 15th century, and what colonization will entail. On the other hand, embarking on this journey distances us from the blue planet, from a unique world, a paradise in the known universe, where all resources are easily accessible, and, content, we set out to seek distant places where life may possibly consist of a constant struggle for survival.
